Duncan Heather set up the practice in 1987 and has quickly established himself as one of Europe's foremost landscape designers, to-date having won five gold, one silver & one bronze medal and three innovation awards for design work.

Emily Black BA Hons studied Visual art and History at Lancaster University before starting a very successful career in theatre design. She made the move into landscape design in the late 90’s and now runs the London office.

Duncan Heather and Emily Black are based in Oxfordshire and London respectively and both travel extensively, undertaking a wide range of projects both at home and aboard from tiny courtyards to large country estates. Duncan is the director of the Oxford College of Garden Design which runs a Post Graduate Program from Oxford Brookes University and is a Full Member of the Society of Garden Designers as well as the US based:- Association of Professional Landscape Designers.
